As I reflect on my tenure as Sports Secretary of the Jaipur Division Sports Association (JDSA) from November 2022 to January 2025, I take immense pride in the milestones we achieved together. This period marked a phase of revitalization, expansion, and sporting excellence for Jaipur Division. From modernizing infrastructure to winning prestigious championships, every step taken was driven by a shared vision: to uplift the standard of sports and wellness across the division.
Infrastructure Upgrades and Facility Expansion
One of our major focus areas was improving and expanding our sports infrastructure:
- Successfully took over the Ganpati Nagar Railway Cricket Ground, providing a dedicated, high-quality venue for cricket enthusiasts.
- Installed flood lights at the cricket ground, enabling night matches and extended practice hours.
- Set up a modern gym at the DRM Office, creating a space for officers and staff to engage in regular fitness routines.
- Renovated and upgraded the Aravali Gym, enhancing its training environment with better equipment and facilities. A tender awarded for its extension on the adjacent terrace to expand capacity and functionality.
- Installed two additional cricket practice nets, increasing access and training slots for emerging talent.
- Procured a diesel-operated pitch roller to ensure optimal maintenance of cricket pitches.
- Upgraded the Ganpati Nagar Volleyball Ground, improving playability and supporting growing interest in the sport.
- Installed Water cooler and RO system at the cricket ground, ensuring access to clean drinking water.
- Procured a high-quality cricket pitch cover, protecting the grounds during inclement weather.
- Work sanctioned and tender finalized for the construction of a swimming pool at Ganpati Nagar — a landmark initiative to diversify training facilities.
Academy Launches: Nurturing Future Talent
During this term, we laid the foundation for structured sports training by launching:
- A Cricket Academy, aimed at honing skills of young cricketers under expert guidance.
- A Basketball Academy, opening up new opportunities in one of the fastest-growing team sports.

A Record of Sporting Excellence
It was equally rewarding to witness our athletes and teams rise to new heights:
- Jaipur Division emerged as the Overall Winner of the 3rd North Western Railway Officers’ Sports and Cultural Meet 2024.
- We also clinched the title at the 3rd North Western Railway Athletic Championship 2023–24, held in Jaipur.
- In volleyball, DRM CUP was organized first time in the history of Jaipur Division.
- Track Titans triumphed in the 1st DRM Cup Volleyball Tournament 2024.
- Signal Smashers secured the 2nd DRM Cup Volleyball title in 2025.
- Our cricket team showcased unmatched consistency, becoming three-time champions of the Inter-Division Cricket Tournament.

These accomplishments are a result of collective dedication—from players, coaches, staff, and supporters. As Sports Secretary, my goal was to build a sustainable and inclusive sports ecosystem, and I’m proud of the legacy we’ve created.
The journey doesn’t end here. With stronger foundations, Jaipur Division is well-positioned to achieve even greater success in the years ahead. I’m grateful to have played a role in this chapter and look forward to seeing JDSA scale new peaks.
